Hypocritical and double standard! I never deny the death penalty and thousands criminal offender are executed in China.My reason is for justice and fair, the criminals should be executed. But can you give me a reason why the West killed 600,000 Iraqi in pasted 5 years? They are not human beings for you? They have no father, mother ,wife , son and daughter like you have ? They have done what you hate them so much? Well, let's look more earlier. Almost every year American bomber attacked here or there in the world.I remember that few years ago American bomber attacked a village in Afghanistan. They just hold a wedding ceremony. They have custom that shoot to sky for happy event, just like firecracker in China. But American soldiers felt not comfortable and bombed there. Tens people are killed,including bridegroom and bride. Look more earlier, American army destoryed a bus in Yugoslavia. It was running and more than 40 passenger on it. Well, you killed all of them. Look more earlier, could you admit that American army killed thousands no-weaponed Asian people in Korea and Vietnam? I just read a news that American even killed many north Korean people in the war. Much crazy. Look more earlier... How many black people were sold as serf? Look more earlier, just in China, in Nanjing, the city I am living in, English army attacked this ciry in 1842, killed many city residents here, and forced Chinese government to sigh 'Treaty of Nanjing'. From then XiangGang are forced to lead to England. Need to look more earlier? ... Now, the son of murderer and murderer himself come to tell Chinese about human beings. It's very ridiculous. Before 1949 Chinese people means nothing, just like Iraqi now. No West people talk about human rights with Chinese people. Now we are strong and powerful. We are happy and hopeful realy. We have many friends over the world than you. Then, you come here and criticize us about human rights, and forget what you have done to us , and even forget what you are doing now. Just stop massacring first! |

I don't know if you read my other comment but if you want an accurate account of human rights violations from a non-partisan and unbiased group, I suggest you look at Amnesty International. I trust their reporting more than CNN and any country with a state run media. Wishing you happiness Misty

Americans that were born here have commited no offense other than to be born on American soil. We do not make the decisions to fight wars and kill. Those who have the POWER over here make those decisions, same as those in CHINA make the decisions to fight wars and kill. The Chinese who were born there are not culpable and the Americans who were born here are not culpable. Those who pick up the sword are culpable.

Well, I have read the report about 3.14 roughhouse in LaSha made by Amnesty International.Not all of it, for obviously lie at the begining. Good news, Chinese government have judged mob yesterday, and they will stay in prison for 7 to 14 years. But in traditional custom, some of them should be executed. You will never see the photo that a 8-month-old baby burned to mummy by those mob. You will never see the photo that four about 20-year-old girls burned to die in a small house by those mob. The will never see the photo that streets are burning and shop owners are crying in the fire. But Amnesty International said there is a peaceful parade. How do you define 'peace'? After burned more than 100 shopes and schools and killed tens people, the 'peaceful parade' called by Amnesty International was crakedown by Chinese government. One question: How many persons should be killed in a peaceful parade in your world? Now Amnesty International just encourages those mob to do it again. Amnesty International is terrorists for all Chinese. Even I didn't read it, what's more, why should I trust Amnesty International? Do I have right to trust it or not by my experience? In Chinese groups, many people said that West people are brainwashed by their government, media and organization, they have lost interest and ability to touch the real world themself. Now XiZang is opened for the world again, for mob are arrested and it is safe in Lasa now. You are welcome to Lasa, and please talk with local residents yourself. I hope you get the truth eagerly.

I guess you have to see it to understand it. You don't get it. It happens in every country, every where there is a human. It is in our nature. I do agree with you that Iraq was a serious mistake but if you look at their history you will see that they were at it long before the Americans got there and has been since recorded history. As a matter of fact in every country this is a fact of each countries history. You are young but sound educated I think you should contemplate it for a while. Trust in what you see just look around we are a destructive waring animal. That's never going to change and it's plain and simple. Becareful, I can see you becoming one of the warriors. I see the hate in you. It's there. You express it in your words.

Why doesn't it surprise me that you wouldn't trust Amnesty International? After all, they are non-partisan, represent no particular political interests, no political parties--and are as unbiased as anyone can be. Each report has to be corroborated by three separate sources before Amnesty will act upon it--as opposed to reporting by a state run media designed solely for its own political agenda. Mirin123 ：Thanks. I am a 32-years-old software engineer ,and interesting in history. My habit after dinner is to play WOW, a MMORPG, for more than 2 years. But after 3.14 event, suddenly I find there are many mistake, or prejudice, from West to us. Sacrifice oneself is taken justice, die to achieve virtue, guard justice, place righteousness above family loyalty, national rise and fall, ordinary man has duty etc, it is the classical thought in Chinese traditional culture. I am a Chinese, and I take it as my mission to give truth to West. So I write down Blog here. My power is small and weak, but it's enough for myself: I have done something for my nation and my country. Realy you believe me or not is not important.

All thing have passed, and I do not hate West intruder. But since you have hurt us so much, I have enough reason to mistrust West world. Much reasonable. I am not a well-trained warrior, or I am a warrior only in WOW.  But I am a Chinese and I think it's my mission to unify our country. So if my nation ask me to go to front of battlefield, I am glad to do it. It's none about braveheart or desire to be hero, only mission for every Chinese.

Mistytraveller: It's not so simple. If the 'three separate sources' are BBC, CNN and another lie media, the report will also be full of lies. I'm very surprise that you pay no attention to what happened realy in LaSa in 3.14, and even not say sorry when I tell a baby was burned to die in the 'peaceful parade'. Sometime I am very sad, for it seemed I talk with a monster but not a human being. Well, if someone put your baby upon fire, what about your feeling? If you are in a closed small house and someone burned it, what do you think? I beg you take resident's position to think about what happened in LaSa, but not in London, Paris or NewYork. Maybe it is a nonobjective report for you , and since who they hurt and killed are all Chinese, it's very near to us. Well, you can still believe many reports from many separate sources, but I only believe truth. Lie repeat thousands then become to truth for you, but I resist it at first.

Hello fan_cuixia, I have been reading your blog this morning. Being a Chinese citizen myself, I can well understand what deep love you have for our country, as I feel the same to it as well, though in a different way.You see, I'm not quite into politics actually. As a matter of fact, every member here is a patriotic in terms of his/her faith in and passion for the culture he/she comes from. Therefore, please don't treat others the way you don't want to be treated. You expressed the hope to make friends here in the blogsville. Then why not step out of your blog and explore a bit? Many of those who leave lengthy comments to you write excellent blogs which are very profound and thought-provoking. Some of them also criticize their governments,but most of time they share thoughts,laughters and sorrows all with friends there. Wouldn't it be a better idea to do a more thorough visit and make out what kind of people they are before asking yourself if venting your anger on them would do any justice to them? Besides, labelling your judgments upon others simply according to the foreign policies their governments hold or what hurt their media has done to us, is totally wrong, in my eyes. By the way, may I venture to suggest that you change the blog intro picture? The image of a brutally killed baby is way too cruel, and I don't think the poor girl herself would like to be shown high that way every day. This is not an ideal blogging place. There are cheatings and quarrels, as is happening every daily in our life. But I don't believe there is a paradise on the earth. The most important thing is that you try to get to know people, and try to be nice so that people can approach you as well, then you may find more about different cultures, which I suppose, are more important than politics. What is an offence to Mankind the world over? Killing your citizens for trivial crimes. Possibly for donor organ harvest. We deliver justice in our country and manage to do so without killing anyone deliberately. As for Iraq, I think you will find that most of the Iraqi deaths are committed by Iraqis or other locals. Iraqis have killed hundreds of ordinary soldiers just doing their job of trying to protect innocent Iraqis in a difficult situations. No way have US or British troops bombed or killed 600-thousand people. I think personally the war was misguided but I suppose you will still blame me for the deaths. Fine. Your choice, but I reject that. That is my opinion. You are welcome to hold a different one, but I am entitled to state mine. As for your other rather wild claims, I take no responsibility for the actions of previous generations: slavery, 1842 whatever. It is a stupid as me accusing you for every explosion on the planet because your advanced Chinese culture invented Gunpowder and firework rockets to deliver it 3000 years ago. Take some advice from "aqaq 00 back" ...... Lighten up, enjoy yourself and explore outside your own little box. If you carry on the way you are, you will isolate yourself, learn nothing (BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT LISTENING) and die early with high blood pressure.

If the West know realy what they have done and what they are doing in Iraq, if one day CNN and BBS published such photoes to west people, but not tell them about 'civil war' in Iraq, I will not mention it again. You said you are a Chinese.Well, you should know what happened during 1937 to 1945 in China. My grandfather war a farmer before Japan army attached my town.Then he joined the army which serviced Japanese intruder.Of course the army was Chinese army and leaded by WangJinWei, the leader of 'Chinese government', and the government itself are built by Japanese army. In day time my grandfather chekced every resident and kept order, and in night he was a local guerrilla and shoot Japanese soldiers and Chinese who serviced Japanese intruder realy. So there is no civil war, just a war to be independent. Now it happens in Iraq again. What time2refresh said about Iraq just tell us, they are brainwashed and cheated by their government, their army and their media. You are a Chinese, and you know this history. We have experience. So why not tell West the truth and ask them to stop the foolish and bloody war immediately? Prejudice and demonization harm little to Chinese.Yes I am living in Nanjing within China. It only makes me not comfortable, but that all to my life. Yesterday I still go to 'HongShan' zoo with my daughter and brother's son. But West people's mistake about Iraq means many innocent Iraqi's dying in every minute. There are billions people have same idea as me, no one can isolate me.I just come here to help you, tell you the truth and maybe give you a chance to escape lies around you.
