'...Otherwise,that shocking photo (JinJing was attacked) was toke by a Chinese exchange student. He posted it in Internet by his own will, and quickly it is used by many Chinese people and media.'

Also I have posted the photo upon the blog.

Most West only can read such reports and newspaper by their great media, which are good at modify photoes, filter information and create out everyting they want, as your God itself.

But West people only can get information from the respected media, for it's so clearly and easy to understand, they just believe in them directly.

So when the West talk about China, we Chinese often suspect that they are talking about another country not in the human world.

Since so many foreigen people lives in China, why you not ask them to share their experience and feeling in China?

For example, some sporters said they could not breath in Beijing.Well, maybe Chinese people in BeiJin are much different from those west sporter, but there are tens of thousands foreign people living in Beijing for many years, how do they breath? how do they eat?

We call it ignorance and haughty.

Humidity and pollution is a deadly mix--try Toronto in the summer--dreadful. I can't even walk along the lakeside because I can't breathe.

When I was in southern China, I couldn't leave my room because of the air pollution. The nurses thought I had asthma. I don't. And Beijing is awful in August--heat, humidity and pollution. I understand the athletes concern.

Many enormous cities of the world are polluted: Mexico City, Los Angeles (where they joke that they won't breathe anything they can't see), Cairo, Dehli...both new and old, Lima. I've been to each of these cities and it's tough to breathe in all of them.

Pollution is a concern--not just for athletes but for everyone. Not just in China but also in the west.

But what are we willing to give up in order to clean our air? In many places it would be cars. I'm guilty of contributing as I drive pretty much everywhere because the public transportation where I live is inadequate. You want me out of my car? Then give me a public transportation system that is reliable. (gad that is my rant)

Wishing you happiness

Misty
