'Many who had romantic views about the West are very disappointed at the media's attempt to demonise China. We all know demonisation feeds a country reaction.' --one German reporter. CNN are much famous in China now, much more famous than BBS and Sound of American. CNN means lier for Chinese. When we tell someone not to cheat, we just say '做人不要太CNN'（Do not be too CNN as a human.） Recently, CNN said, they apologized to Chinese people for CNN only said Chinese government were mob but ont Chinese people. Realy I have not seen the news of CNN about China.But the apologization has enraged me, and many other Chinese. It's clearly from the Internet of Chinese world, that many Chinese are more angry for CNN. Someone has suggested that refuse CNN enter China forever. They are not welcome. Maybe CNN would want enter China together with US Army, what has happened in Iraq.Because CNN so hate Chinese people and Chinese government. But if it happened, I'm sure CNN can take much more photoes about war in US territory. It's very clearly that if the Iraqi independent military movement develops successfully the battlefield in US territory, the American would withdraw troops from Iraq early. I want peace forever for I have a beautiful wife and lovely daughter. But I know the only way for the West people to get information about China is such media as CNN. Well, many CNN there. So we are in dangerous, as well as you are in dangerous. For Chinese army have fought against the West army in north Korean 1952, next in Vietnam against US army, history has proved that we are not easy to defeat. Chinese government has made many mistake, but they have done right to crakedown the mob in LaSa. My question to CNN: if someone want killed others in the street in NewYork, burned many buildings and destoryed every school they saw, what would Amercian government do? You should look at the face who killed by those monks in the 'peaceful parade'. CNN are not welcome in China, realy. Good news from Lasa. I get information from a woman living in Lasa from QQ, and she told me all bad men have arrested, she can go to job again, and some visitors appered in Lasa. |

I'm a sucker for being ignored. This blog is like CNN sometimes. Just one question. Is your aim to improve relations between your country and the rest of the world by giving us the Chinese view, or is it only to criticise American foreign policy and CNN? Because if it's the second reason, we already do that fine, thanks. Oh, and Chinese strategy in the Korean War was the "human wave". This tactic, as you know, was to throw thousands of soldiers against fortified positions until the defenders killed so many attackers they ran out of ammunition and had to retreat. I'm surprised you put so much trust in a government (old as it may be) that holds individual human lives in such low regard. Even the United States government abandons the battlefield when the body count gets too high. See what I did there?

gowerboy : You should come to China and talk with Chinese people about Korean War by yourself. Chinese are different from the West. Nation's and army's win are more important than our life, including my life, if necessary. During more than 100 years before 1952, Chinese were always the loser in every battlefield, but in Korean War, the army leaded by Mao changed it. So Mao is our nation hero. Every Chinese soldiers are heros for Chinese. Korean war is a glory in Chinese memory. We are not well-weaponed, we have no big ships and planes, even we have no car and have to pursuit or retreat by feet. But in your side, you have the best weapons of the world. The result is that we pushed you back from Chinese border to the middle Korea. We have no good weapon, it doesn't mean we should give up. We believe in justice and responsibility for soldier. So many Chinese soldiers fear anything including death. History has proved that their death is valued for every Chinese. Let's talk about Iraq. It's realy Iraq army gave up the war.But what happened following? I got such a news that several American soldiers broke into one Iraqi house in day time, shot everyone and raped the owner's daughter before her family's corpse. When a man just fight for his family, he fears nothing, even he has no good weapon. What's more, Chinese soldiers are still very brave, but also we are well-weaponed today. We can shoot down a satellite 800 miles high from earth, or drop bombs to any target from 16000 miles away, so if Korean war happen again, everything would be different. ------------------------------------------- I do not care about how do you think about me. I just tell what happen in China and how a Chinese middle-age man think. Many Chinese are different from me, so these are only what I think, not all Chinses have the same idea. So if you are interesting about China, just talk with them by Chinese language. More communication, more peace in the world.

gowerboy : sorry for I made a mistake. You are not American. We knew that your country sent some soldiers to Iraq at the beginning, but changed idea soonly.

"More communication, more peace in the world." Now that I agree with. And as for thinking I was American, it just goes to show that none of us should make assumptions about anything. It's also wrong to automatically associate an individual with the government of the country in which they happen to live. As I live in Spain, this is doubly true. Peace.
