Interesting. Following your French post, I read this next. Thanks for the insight. I wonder why China does not just leave Tibet to its own fate? You make them sound like a very backward country, rather like many parts of Europe 1300 years ago. The religion control. The serfs. If you get to see the BBC Television Series "Robin Hood" you will see depicted England of that time, when serfs were mis-treated by lords and masters in brutal ways. So, how did we in ENGLAND get past that? I don't really know, but it was the Masters themselves who took the King to one side and forced him to sign the "Magna Carta" (Google that) which started the PROCESS of change to 'Democracy of the people' as we now know it in 21st century. SO THEN, I ask you what would happen if China stopped paying for the Lamas' gold and temples? The Masters would revolt against the King (Dali Lama) and maybe Tibet would move forward in a similar way. Unfortunately to the rest of the world, it looks simply like China is trying to destroy the Tibetan culture and impose Chinese Culture in an Imperilaist way !! I am sure you see the hypocracy that would ... SEEM ... to say about a country (China) who's own creation was anti-Imperialist. If saving the people is what China is tryig to do, then China is not putting that fact over to the rest of the world. You need to talk to us about it, not resist and cover up. We in teh general population do not know. Tell us that you are trying to save the people of Tibet. If you could find a way to do it that kept the Tibetan people TIbetan, rather than trying to make them into copys of Chinese then perhaps we would all be happier about it. Thanks for your view. Peter

How to manage XiZang is our right, for XiZang is a part of China. We should confirm it first. Well, China is a vary big country, as big as the whole Europe, so it is very difficult to manage it. In Chinese history, sometime we controled by a powerful government, sometime there are many small leaders fighting to each other, and they all want to be the master of whole China. Half to half, this is Chinese history. Why we can exist for about at least 3000 years? For every Chinese want to unite our country. One story in Chinese history, that one place losed for more than 100 years and controled by other nations, and Chinese government was too weak to take it back. But a Chinese young man rised up and kicked invaders all out, and he became the leader there in fact. What did he do next? He went to the center of China, told his king the land back to us, and asked the king send army to control there. Can you find such a man in West history? Well, let's talk about the Chinese oversea.Maybe they have been citizen of residence country in law for tens years ,even for several generation, and some of them do not speak Chinese anymore, but they still regard themselfs as Chinese in heart. We can see many Chinese oversea take parade in many country with red flag for China now, and many of them are not Chinese in law, they are American, France, or any other people in law. But the law only exists for about tens years, and Chinese have been existed for 5000 years. Another story, one middle-age man from Taiwan posted a file in Internet fourm. It recorded what he did recently.His father fighted for the government of TaiBei for more than 50 years, and he only support the government in TaiBei himself and regard it as the government in law for the whole China.But during these days he took a red flag with five stars, together with many other Chinese people, paraded in American street.He said he just parade for the whole China ,not for Beijing. What's more, his father supports what he did. We own long history, and 200 years are very shortly for us, 50 years about Taiwan also is too shortly. Answer your question directly: XiZang was a part of China, and is now , and will be a part of China for ever. Most Zang people are also Chinese, and they are same to us. The most Zang people do not allow someone else split XiZang out from China. China is a big country.But it's small for every Chinese at the same time. I am a farmer's son in JiangShu, East of China, my wife is from DongTing lake, more than 1000 miles away, and my brother's wife is from FuJing, nearly to Taiwan. One my college classmate is living in LaSa, his wife is a Zang girl, and his parent lived in PingYang GanShu, thousands miles away from Lasa.my wife's young sister is married to a man from ShanXi, the north China near to BeiJing. I wish there is a Chinese map beside you. We live in a big country, but we are a closely family. Why not Chinese government leave XiZang along and allow it to split from China? Haha, if this government try to it, he will lose the power and the support by all Chinese people tomorrow.
