Call me a snail. In life there are no people more gauranteed to declare something stupid as fact than an academic "intellectual". Almost from the begining of time the intellectual community has espoused utter fairy stories as the truth until forced to accept that the guy that said the world is round or that it revolves around the sun (rather than the universe revolving around the earth which was a far more appealing idea to idiots and religious morons)or that travelling at more than 10 miles an hour wouldn't kill you was in fact right all along. Kelvin declared that heavier than air vehicles couldn't possibly fly, less than a decade later and the Wright brothers had started the inevitable race for flight. Ford2 was offered the Volkswagon factory after the war but declared the beetle a poorly-designed waste of parts.In the late 1800s the cheif of the patents office in America told the president that for certain everything that could be discovered or invented had been. Then the car the telephone the computer etc etc etc were invented.Pillock! The list of intellectual cretins is endless so the next time you hear some "professor of science" declare with certainty that he knows something to be true just take a moment and ask yourself "Is he right? Or could it be he's just another twat spouting the latest fashionable scientific belief?" Don't please think that i have abandoned science and joined the mumbo jumboists of spirituality and religion. That is just concedeing defeat, can't understand something so lets pretend there's a supreme being who knows best. That's worse than at least trying to understand the universe. I've kinda lost the thread here huh? Just rambling on non-sensically.lol Well it's Sunday and i'm well overdue a rant. KISSYS!!!!! |

Jake you're a snail But, you are correct in your assumptions that 'experts' learn everything, until they know nothing  (That is what you are saying, isn't it or am I totally losted here )Melt, flow, evaporate into the eternal sky

Dunno swoony i kinda lost where i was going too.lol I think i'm saying that what is currently touted by experts as the truth will one day be derided as utter bloody nonsense because people are way too willing to spout the current party line without actually challenging accepted wisdom.Or someit like that lol.

The only thing that is "for certain" is uncertainty itself. Love those who think they know it all and can go around telling us what is and what is not. Rant, rant, rant ... It's Sunday and what better day, eh? In the immortal words from 6th Sense ... I see stupid people.
