Ageism is alive and well in the bloggyverse.

I've noticed that recently a lot of male newbies barely receive any welcome to the bloggyverse at all. Not so much the young guys looking for their shirts but the old feckers seem to often be ignored. Now i'm not accusing anyone of being ageist or sexist (cos i know it can't be that you laydees are shy lol) but yer a bunch o ageist gits! So there!lol Many a fine toon is played on an old fert you know lol.

Consider the knuckles rapped!!!
Went to look and can't find them! I don't think that there are any 90 year old feckers on these blogs! Put your spectacles on!

It is true Deb' m8 that the vast majority of new blogs die at birth and the blogger is never seen again but i suspect quite a few blogs are simply lost to lack of attention. I know i was one comment away from taking my woodland critters and blogging elsewhere (or not at all). I didn't realise that you have to build a relationship with your fellow bloggers, like most newbies i thought you just wrote yer post and hope that people would talk to you. It takes time to get the hang of how things work and so i always at least make the point of welcoming as many newbies as i can (without exception or discrimination) It might make the difference between a fun blog living or dying.lol My point here is that it appears that the wimmen in here recently are happy to greet other females or young men but tend to ignore newbie blokes over the age of 40. I'm sure you've noticed that too.
lol Chessa me chelydridae and you know i'm helpless when snogged there.

I don't believe you munchkin.. You look 20! But then they say lawyers are good at convincing us of things that may not be so! LOL.. heheh.. just kidding.

Oh. well, jakey.. "the young guys looking for their shirts". well, geez. i seen you give many a merry welcome to the young lasses who are looking for MOST of their shirts here also!" And also most of their pants for that matter...hehe... see.. what comes around goes around, laddie.... lol.. just kidding ya dude,

And if you are whining about the gals not noticing the older guys.. hey.. society has you all so programmed that most men think that the older lasses are not even WORTH noticing. Not you per se.. but so many men have that mindset.. Oh.. she's older.. over the hill... or not even worth my time or a passing glance.

Not saying anyone on this site is guilty of that.. but now.. you kinda know how the older lasses feel.. we're often passed over too. Now.. for me to attend to my pile of 500 unopened e-mails... eh.... ah.. cough cough... choke choke! LOL

And yes.. you do get a good sound on an old violin... So.. anyone who wants to come play me or Jake's my crazy friend here.. come on! LOL

It is noticeable KR in here though, that males over 40 seldom get much of a welcome (if any) from you laydee types and really i show no bias at all in my obsessive welcomeing lol It you were a budgie with alopecia you'd still get a cheery greeting from me.
Oh you know i'm a comment trollop chessa me Chattahoochee but for once i'm complaining on behalf of old fert newbies rather than meself lol.

Well, I've only just started blogging here so I cannot offer any constructive criticism. So I will offer totally useless ones instead. I have noticed a lot of what I call the whiny-oh-look-at-me-and-give-me-love, and the tell-me-I-am-gorgeous-and-u-want-me-even-though-I-look-like-Camilla Parker-Bowles posts. These calibre of bloggers would be more likely to greet & bare it with blokes to whom ageism is just a word they cannot spell.

It is much like the chat rooms. After spending many years agitating & spectating, I have noticed the immediate keyboard licking by some females when a bloke trolls in with names like Man4UinShagdom(30M). The female frenzy of bra strap lowering & keys stroking invokes twins responses of amusement & nausea.

But you blokes are not exempt too. While it is less ageism with you lot, photoism is it. A single gander at some woman's (likely photoshopped to death, speaks the one who cast a band of darkness over hers) cheesy photo and you see the blokes suddenly hitching their pants past their butt cracks.

It's all very amusing, nest ce pas?

In the immortal words from 6th Sense ... I see stupid people.

Oh my faves are the obvious fake profile piccies of some gorgeous young thing that all the old fellers (who really should know better lol) get all defensive about. Like they are the knight in shiney armour that a young girly dreams of lol I remember once asking one of them where she'd downloaded her piccie and all these guys desperate to defend her from the suggestion that maybe it wasn't really her jumped all over me. Even when i pointed out that it was a picture of Angelina Jolie they still didn't get it.lol That was fun.lol
