An Ocean o' thought

Thought is an ocean. Many people do not look below the surface and see only one flat dimension (with the occassional wave lol) Some are simply scared to look for fear of monsters lurking in the deep. Some snorkel happily on the surface seeing the wonder of the ocean but never diving down. Some like me dive as deep as they dare but are always fearful they'll run out of air before they reach the surface again. Some clever feckers have breathing equipment and can dive as deep as the pressure will allow but are always in danger of getting the bends by returning to the surface too quickly. We all marvel at creatures that the adventurous bring back to the surface but mostly it's just things we've all seen before. A puffer fish of an idea, a squid of a notion.lol But sometimes something rare and beautiful is found by some intrepid genius. But the deeper the idea the more likely it is to disintegrate when raised from the depths.
Hmmmm bit odd tidday huh?

Excellent metaphoric text. I love it, Jake.

Let's not forget those who remain at the bottom at all times -- negative, depressed and boring individuals. They call themselves 'deep'. Similarly, I remember a fish species that ended up losing its eyesight from evolution in the darkness of the abyss. They are ghost-white with beady eyes that are hardly useful at all. lol lol

I got yer snorkel ere, Hamish lad.

T'aint the worse fer wear after the bairns used it to pump up yon sheep's innards.

Ya Hen,

Morag

P.S. ---If thought is an ocean, I've got quite a bit of an undertow lately.

I'm dyslexic. I scream Ho Dog instead of Oh God in the throes of passion.

and so we bring our treasure up from the deep to marvel at and for everyone else to marvel at.now do we throw it back in for some one else to catch and marvel and have a treasure.or do we bring it home and keep it locked up for ever.

The beuty of the deep is only for my eyes as seen on T.V. but thats ok its still just as beuty full as in the real thing for me.Makes me think of my deleverie the other night as i was rushing to delever the food my head lights hit on the wet pavement just right to see a little toad hopping across in front of me I missed him luckly he was hopping fast enough.at that momment i wanted to stopp and go back and bring him home for my grand son but the car i was driving just kept on going and i made my delevery and the toad went on his way
