Uncompetitive blogging is dull. It's been quiet in here for months and i've heard various reasons for this suggested, mostly that it's summer and somehow people are less inclined to blog in the nice weather (so really the place should be full o Ozzies cos it's Winter doon there lol). I suspect the true reason is since the change in comment counting that makes the charts rather meaningless as a genuine guide to popularity, there is no longer any competitive edge to blogging. No-one is trying to outblog anyone else any more. now i know a lot of bloggers whined that somehow competitiveness was responsible for bad vibes in the bloggyverse but anyone who keeps up with the latest gossip in here will know that squabbles are a regular feature in here and have booger all to do with competitiveness. I always think of the complainants as lower division football teams complaining that the title contenders get bigger audiences. Sour grapes and nothing more really.No-one has ever been able to propose a reasonable defence of the silly statement that competition makes the bloggyverse worse and i can easily argue that it improves it immeasureably. More posts, more imaginattive posts, more rivalry always raises the standards of the rivals.All great acheivers had great rivals throughout history why should removing competition ever make anything better? It just doesn't make any sense.If being the best at anything is easy no-one bothers to strive to be the best. What would be the point?lol Anyhoo i'm hoping some of you will agree and support me in thinking of ways to make the bloggyverse more competitive again. I have a few ideas (what a surprise huh?lol) but nothing solid yet.So who's for a bit of sporting rivalry? |

I suspect the scare tactics had little or nowt to do with competing rugged and much to do with personality clashes and as you know, even now when the chart is meaningless as a genuine guide to poularity there are still outbreaks of ill-will and occassional spats. Healthy competition can never be a bad thing but i think what you object to is when people don't play sportingly but there's no avoiding that m8 it's just life. Some people want to win at any cost, including their dignity but that's not competing that's cheating and i loathe cheats with a vengance.lol Fair Competition is what makes mankind strive for greatness and who could object to that? As are you to me BABE.lol I'll do me best Ari darl', It's easy to think of things but not so easy to think how to keep it fair. Ahh Spags, when gollum was sniffing round the crown aih? Them's were the days lol. Ohh i can think of a thousand more belle ma belle, give me a theme and i'll think up a dozen or so for you to choose from.lol Big Belle boozonkers? Shnuzzler McSnoggy-face? No don't let me get started lol.

In this case, we have a title for our post which we all write on and then after a few days we all vote on which post was the best.Then the winner chooses a new title which we again all write on and so it continues. BTW it's always a pleasure to see a new face on me blog and yer most welcome here.

To tell you the truth I think whats wrong with Lisa is the talk she had on the phone with Rugged she only started this after they had there chat better off leaving alone I guess she will stop or get over it.
