Quiet Reflections Times gone by, all too fast Times of reflection, back to the past My Dad died suddenly, my world blew apart I felt so much guilt, where should i start Not seeing him enough is my biggest regret But memories of Dad i'll never forget These last 2 months full of sadness and joy My new grandson Ralph a bonnie wee boy Estranged brothers and sisters together we came Our lives for sure will never be the same Some of us have bonded, some of us not I'm happy and thankful for all that i've got Now for me i wish to stand out in the crowd Purely for me to make my Dad proud A new venture, a new shop, this is for me I want to do well, for all that know me. It feels good to write a blog again. I even had the courage to stand up in front of many people at my Dads funeral and read a poem i wrote especially for him, which before i started blogging, i would never have done, so i am very grateful to all here that made me feel so welcome. The picture is of Mum and Dad, with their first 4 , 2 more followed. I love this photograph, i think my Mum looks so glamorous, and me, i am on the right, i look very moody for some reason... Hiya Jules...i love your poems also, you write so well, and with much depth.....you are right in all that you say...it is hard, but life must go on, and Ralph is a joy...i just wish Dad could have seen him, we had planned to go just a week after he died...i will be ok...my life has always been ups and downs....take care Jules...and thank you so much....Rachel...
