MUST LOVE RAIN
bluejeans_baby 6/11/2008 12:49 am
There are many types of rain. Mist, light rain, the sudden shower, and the thunderstorm. As many different types of rain as there are there are as many people who love the different sorts of rain.

MIST: The thick dense fog that blankets every thing in moist air, smothering out sight and sound, never a drop falling except the drips from the accumulation on the roof and trees.

LIGHT RAIN: A steady fine rain usually lasting for hours, some times called a drizzle.

SUDDEN SHOWER: Usually starts with a few drops some so largethey seem to drench you with a few drops, but widely spaced so that you can seem to run between them as to not get wet, followed by a brief intense rain fall.

THUNDERSTORM: Thunder rumbling, winds increasing, fireworks in the sky, intense rain, drowning out all but the storm. The thunderstorm is one of natures grandest displays. While most people either love or hate the thunderstorm, It is beauty at it's rawest.

It is sad that weather, rain, temperature, can stop a budding relationship in it's tracks, sad but true. Many of us enjoy a certain kind of weather. There are places, weather, terrain that we each prefer.

How far would you go to be with some one you care about, could you put up with extreme heat, rain, humidity, cold. Or are there places you just couldn't happily live? The desert, the mountains, forest, plains, sea side or inland?

If there are differences who makes the sacrifice or do neither. Do they decide to move on? Put aside the growing feelings? Do they find some one who is a better match? Or do they find a way to compromise, to make it work for them?

just things that run through annie's little mind

Being a rain lover, this post caught my attention without a doubt. LOL

I feel you have ask several questions here. well by the ? marks it seems I am right. I will start with my favorite song that says it all and has been what I have wanted to live by so so so long especially if my other felt the same.. It is: "In The Misty Moonlight" and I like the way it was done by Jerry Wallace. It says in part: "In the misty moonlight, By the flickering firelight. Any place is all right, Long as I'm with you, In a far-away land, On the tropic sea sand, If your hand's in my hand, I won't be blue, Way up on the mountain, Or way down in the va-a-alley, I know I'll be happy, Anyplace, anywhere, I don't care ... I could be happy in one little room with only a table and chair. As happy as I'd be in a kingdom by the sea, darling, if you were there. And I could be rich= or I could be poor.. but if you were by my side, I could be any place in this whole wide world and I know I'd be satisfied. Any place is all right Long as you are there." BUT

I feel even if two are for each other they have to find some agreement so both could have a bit of what each want as NEITHER should make the complete sacrifice. I am not sure either has to be a compromise, but maybe instead a sharing of understanding and spending bits of time doing or being what the other likes... KNOW WHAT, I am betting as two do stuff or visit places the BOTH will find areas and things they BOTH fall in love with perhaps only for short times and have other places they do for other times. I am betting I am..

NOW a better match.. LOL Some of us have taken tests that show only one in a million is for us, that don't leave a lot of matches to choose from and for sure better may not be a word to use when talking of match. Two million people on this site would only have two for me, but but but what if half are men then that means I only have one woman on this site that is my match. OH sure, I took the test several times until I got the odds up to 4 in a million, but still that does not leave many to choose from and I beleive the test. LOLOLOLOL

You stated: "How far would you go to be with some one you care about" ... Again in a song, "Baby, I'm yours" it says: "I'm gonna stay right here by your side, Do my best to keep you satisfied, Nothin' in the world can drive me away 'Cause every day, you'll hear me say Baby, I'm yours." To stay right here by your side indicates someway they traveled to get there... not sure how far, but seems to me distance was no object, only the by your side was the answer. LOL OH but durn.. you went and put "could you put up with". That answer maybe answered in another song by "Cher" that id titled and says: "Do you wanna know? It's In His Kiss".

No, none of what I have said deals with "Put aside the growing feelings?" as I am not sure one ever wants to take that gamble without a lot of eye looking, soul searching and maybe, just maybe a bit of kissing. Which road is it? Do we ever take a chance, or stay stuck?

Here by the sea.

I came to Spain for a woman. I'm still here.
But when I was a kid I always wanted to live
in the Arctic.

Maybe I'll move there one day.

Must love rain? It's the other person that you love, and then it doesn't matter what the weather is like, you'll just be happy being with them and enjoying every precious moment. Who cares if it's sunny or snowing?

It's trying to rain here right now. Ya know some of my most memorable experiences happened in the rain.

Altho compromise is essential to a relationship, I'd have to say there is one place I couldn't live, even for love. A large crowded city. It would make me crazy.

This post reminded me of a Tanya Tucker song I really like.

Would you lay with me, in a field of stone?
If my needs were strong, would you lay with me?

Should my lips grow dry, would you wet them, dear.
In the midnight hour, if my lips were dry.

Would you go away to another land?
Walk a thousand miles through the burnin' sand?
Wipe the blood away from my dyin' hand,
If I give myself to you?

Enjoy the ride. All you take with you when you leave is the experience.

They have to compromise. I am as stubborn as they come. LOL. If I am with a light rain she better know how to be a thunderstorm when she needs to be LOL.

hi Bluejeans baby,

now this is a tricky one!!
I will do a lot for my love, like.. leave the country if I must.. relocate.. the works!!
but talking about extreme weather.. I guess we would have to find a way to compromise!!
I love the sun.. don't like the fall and long cold winters and lots of rain all the time or snow.....
so a compromise it it will be.........

A philosopher will argue that the trend of thought expressed here could be the types of relationships experienced, the thunderstorm could signify the intense feeling one has for each other whereas the drizzle indicates a more platonic feeling. In practice however the weather cannot be used as an excuse of some kind or other because it is merely incidental.
