OPTIMISTS V PESSIMISTS Optimists tend to look for the positives, and pessimists tend to look for the negatives. Optimists see setbacks as specific, temporary and changeable, and therefore motivated to take action. Pessimists tend to look at setbacks as general, permanent and hopeless, symptoms of widespread failure that cannot be changed. Being an optimist may help reduce your risk of dying from heart disease and other causes. A Dutch study found that people who described themselves as being highly optimistic had lower rates of cardiovascular death and less risk of any cause of death than people who said they were highly pessimistic. A Optimist would see a job promotion, as earned, While a pessimist would see the additional responsibilities, and probably closer scrutiny by the boss. Then there is the 3rd choice the realist. Realist tend to see things as they are or appear to be. Accepting some things just happen and are a part of life. So what are you an optimist, a pessimist, or realist? Do you see the glass 1/2 full, 1/2 empty, or just the wrong size glass? |

Hey! What a great smile! Short story: My brother lives in Vegas and was quite proud of his Japanese style garden in his back yard. Mr. Miyagi would be proud as well Anyway, one year a flash flood came washing through and wiped out his back yard, even filling his swimming pool with sand. Tom walked out afterwords and surveyed the damage and simply said," COOL!, now I can start all over!". Like he was given a clean slate or something! Now that's an optimist! Me I would have been devastated. I hope that doesn't make me a pessimist lol I would much prefer to be a realist Bill Standplatz und liefert
