When do u throw out a favorite pair of bluejeans? like most people who wear jeans i hate to give up a pair they get to be comfortable old friends. The more they are washed and worn the softer they become, so when do u give up and get rid of a comfortable old pair?  just things that run through annie's little mind  |

Never throw 'em away...  I have some classic's, but I only keep 'em cuz they're still in decent shape. Oh yeah, almost forgot, welcome to this place!!!  Take care... FMM  I don't 'need' to Blog, I 'choose' to...

Just this morning I had to discard an old comfy pair, because I squatted down to pick something up and the crotch ripped out. It's a strange feeling when that happens. Now I can go buy a new pair. Question? Why do they call them a pair, when there is only one? Hahahaha Bill Standplatz und liefert

As a landscaper/hardscaper I go through at least 10 or 12 pairs of 501's each year so I don't have time to get attached to them. They get worked hard and wear out faster for me than for most people. I buy the real geeky non-acid washed cardboard type jeans. Tougher and last longer. Personally I like a few holes in them but my work is in a relatively high-end market area and holed jeans just won't sell the large jobs. If I kept them I'd have 30 pairs taking up space. (Once heard they'll pay big bucks for old used jeans in Japan but I've found no evidence of that. Darn!!!) If anyone wants to pay the shipping they are yours! I toss them just as they are getting 'perfect'. My size is 33 waist (when I can find them and 34 inseam. They shrink down to 32 or 33 and are perfect. hey...for you in cold weather climes, try flannellined jeans. They're fantastically warm.

Hey Mate, your welcome to them. Will they fit you? Was thinking about it... think I exagerated a little... more likey I'll cycle thru 7 or 8 pairs in a year. But thats still a lot of great levi 501's.

When my bony old behind starts to show through the threads. Bluejeans ought to be declared the national pant. I have a habit of donating my old clothes when I want a change... b/c of course when I don't have any, I have to go buy some more and I really am not a big fan of shopping... I don't use the dressing room and that sends me back to do exchanges and returns! (I like my own mirror that doesn't make me look good but real) Have a great weekend! This has been a bad week for me, as it pertains to my jeans. I tore a second pair and then a third! I figure that they are all getting to that age where they are just wore out, so I bought new jeans to replace them. Now I am going to be ok in the jean area for some time to come. How old can jeans get/be before breaking down? Standplatz und liefert

I never throw my jeans away. I still have a pair with a hole in the crotch. It is good air conditioning in summer, especially while working around my yard.
