Our beautiful planet earth

Recently I read a blog which got me fired up. I know that each and every one of us who lives on this planet needs shelter, food, water, clothing, heat, energy, and other resources to sustain and make our lives more comfortable. But for someone to say that because we set aside land and make limits on taking resources, we are ruining capitalism and we are crazy environmentalists bent on taking riches from the already filthy rich who often exploit them at our expense is just wrong. All I am saying is that we need balance. We have so much beauty on this planet with plants and animals we have not discovered yet which could lead us to medicines that could cure chronic diseases. Also, a healthy and beautiful environment is good for the soul.

If you can't convince them, confuse them!

I just saw "An Inconvenient Truth" on HBO yesterday, in celebration of Earth Day, and what struck me most was this quote from Winston Churchill, which to me fully captures the urgency, the need for us humans to act NOW, to save our only home--

“The era of procrastination, of half-measures, of soothing and baffling expedients, of delays, is coming to a close. In its place, we are entering a period of consequences."

I'm dyslexic. I scream Ho Dog instead of Oh God in the throes of passion.

This whole nature imbalance such as global warming
is giving me the creeps. This is what humankind reaps for all the
idiocies it did with Mother Nature. I hope all is not too late.

Ruining capitalism?

That's rich.

... it never ceases to amaze, how those who have the least "leg to stand on" will come up with the most ridiculous arguments... and what's worse, others will buy into them... for convenience sake, it might after all take a bit of work, a bit of changing one's habits to save that which happens to be the only planet we can all really live on...

I'm in love with the beauty of Mother Earth's Nature. Have to preserve what has left of it unspoiled.

We are seeing signs of progress, but much more needs to be done.
