Do You Fear Conflict?

Do you fear conflict? I don't, actually, I kind of enjoy it. Especially here on the blogs. It's better than having a conflict in real time.

One can learn a lot about themselves when engaged in an argument.

Listen, I'll be the first to admit that with my less than perfect health and my age, I'm very moody and argumentative.

From some of the reactions to past conflicts on this site, some feel it's the worst thing in life. It isn't. If you read posts about conflict and it bothers you, stop reading and go to another, more uplifting post.

Believe me, at my age, I'm not going to take anyone's crap.

Aw...and here I was looking for somewhere to leave this barrowload of crap.

Wanna fight me for it?

Maybe FF could set up a conflict resolution blog and have some-one act as a mediator, that way conflict could be kept in one place and not spewed all over the blogs.

A loving atmosphere in your home is the foundation for your life.

Conflict is ok if it leads to some sort of resolution, either with the person you are having the conflict with or within your own mind and heart. Kind of like whining - whining is ok and can be healthy if you are working through something.

What tears me up is when I am conflicted with myself. I can't argue any point because each side already knows what position the other is taking and I can't make any headway.

I've learned in the last few years to face conflict with others headon and not to run away or wait for it to pass. Because it never will. Running away from conflict is like ignoring a letter from the IRS. I mean, do you really think that if you just avoid a topic the other person will at some point just change their mind and decide YOU are right in your position? Or will it look like you are wrong, know you are wrong, and don't want to admit it. Face it. Explain yourself. Listen to their explanation. It may or may not fix things but you will have had your say and respected the other person enough to listen to them, and hopefully they will respect you in return. Even if you still disagree.

I'd prefer a good debate.......conflict and argument usually ends up with some one hurt.

Manure makes for good fertilizer so dump your wheel barrow here Gowerboy.

Many good comments here. Keep in mind that there are members here who love to dish it out but have a little problem taking it. My point is....if you give it to me, I'm going to give it back to you ten fold.

Lets just say, stay away from the Bluecorn cafe. There are people who have phony profiles who dupe innocent bloggers into their lies and then attack them.

I don't wanna be stressed out thinking
about it. But i don't want somebody to
drop some craps on me, either.
That way, i'll fight back.

Awhile ago, there was this group of members that attacked a very nice young woman because she commented on their blog. They were absolutely brutal towards her. I defended her. I'll never forget who there are. I can't say bluecornandSage was one of them but some of the people commenting on her blog are apart of that group.

An older member named Jake pointed out who these people were, one profile.

The bottom line is......there are some on this site who are not genuine, they are here to cause trouble. I'm sorry you had to be witness to this negativity but they do exist. Just avoid them.

    Jiffy, a word, if you wouldn't mind . . .

Go to SeniorFriendFinder, to the Blogs pages. Dial up blog "Attitude Is Everything"; blogger 'Comtessa'.

Report back on your findings and thoughts . . . ok?

I knew from your comment on my Comtessa post that you were/are her. I'm not a big fan of deception.
