What Soup Should it Be?

I am hosting a soup evening and whilst pondering on the idea of which different soups to make, I thought it may be a great idea to ask you for your input.

What is your favorite choice of soup?????

For those of you who may find this post boring

I am truly sorry

    OH SOUP! SOUPER DE DOUPER!!!

    I love SOUP!

Since this is a soup event, OH I WISH I COULD COME! My husband is anti-social and will not permit guests to visit our home, he gets very uncomfortable so I stopped hosting, but I did have a soup and baked potato get together once.

Anyway, since we are talking party, we don't have to worry about fat!!!

I'm assuming you will have crockpots going?

This is a small get together so I am assuming you will have three pots going? With a salad and breads available too?

I would pick a cream soup
like Brocoli and cheese or lobster bisque

1 meat soup- Like a Vegetable Beef or even a Chili (with cheese and sour cream available) Or black bean!! Yeah, made with some hickory smoked bacon or smoked chicken..

And a broth soup, there are lots of great Asian soups to choose from. Especially if you have a vegan guest.

I'm not so fond of chilled soups but if it is a summer event then you would want to offer up one.

The great thing is you can make most of it the day before and it tastes better the next day! That way you will know how everything turned out.

    Have fun! Soups ON!
Hi psychic

Sad to hear you can't entertain I always loved that when I was married, always had people coming and going at our house - I miss that so am trying to get back into the old swing of things again now. Need to get my life back on track again.

I like the idea of broccoli and cheese, either this or creamy butternut for the vegetable soup.

I saw a recipe for chilli chicken and corn soup that sounded really nice - funny you should mention chilli.

I always have a variety of different breads and calabatas with the soup - haven't had salad before by the way.

It is really cold here so definitely nice hot soups are the thing.

Thanks for the input.
