Been Watching

Dooms Day Global Warming National Geographic shows this week.

Deserts, moving across the globe, melting glaciers, mega storms, flooding and all the worst things you can think of.

I need to watch something better or better yet turn it off and listen to music. But, I must say it has made me think about efficiently.

And, as Alec said the other day about "consumerism", I'm spending money with things like "Vampire Loads" and becoming more conscious about home spun commonsense.

Looking around and reusing and not using as much as I can now. Thinking about going solar and depending on the wind more and more.

We certainly have had lots of wind lately might as well monopolize on it. Already did the light bulb thing and now have installed over forty energy efficient bulbs and just that will certainly make a difference in my energy bills.

That alone cut my energy consumption by 5/6ths in the amount used for lighting.

In the garden I use to gather up the cuttings and haul them down to the local container but now I cut them and make fire starters for my wood stove.

I know, I know I'm burning them up and producing carbon dioxide but better than creating all that other stuff that is created by throwing them in the dumpster.
