RIP Corazon Aquino

You will be missed. You became a symbol of hope and a galvanizing force after two decades of darkness.

May eternal light shine upon you, Tita Cory, and may you rest in peace.

I'll never forget when her husband was assassinated when he got off that airplane. I was glad she rose to power in his place. RIP Corazon, you served your country and the world with peace, dignity and honor.

it's Bob

Amen indeed, Sherry. She'll be missed. Hubby and I just might try and pay our respects if the crowds and the traffic don't push us back.

Ninoy Aquino once said, "The Filipino is worth dying for." Cory Aquino took it to heart as well, leading us, despite all the odds, out of the tyranny we had suffered for decades.

We all know that death is inevitable but when it strikes home, some one whom we dearly loves, it leaves a lot of mourning and aching grieving hearts..
She was a remarkable woman...A true example for us women..My condolences to you and your Country fellowmen for your lost..May she rest in peace.

It is the truth in man that sets him free..

(((((((James))))))))))))))))) Huggies!!!

What's so remarkable about her is that despite being born to a very wealthy family, despite having been a President of this country, she remained humble and unassuming to the end.

Because of her, Filipinos have lost all tolerance for anyone who would try to hang on to power longer than is Constitutionally mandated. There are now grumblings of another People Power type get together should the present President, Macapagal-Arroyo, try to extend her term by amending the Constitution.

That happens, I'm gonna be taking to the streets. Cory Aquino wouldn't want it any other way.
