Last year, I met a wonderful number of friends online. We met, some might say by accident, in the France room. Any way you look at it, it was quite special. I am thrilled that you are part of my life now.
Back then, I was from California (8hrs GMT). I'm now from Michigan (5hrs GMT). You are from everywhere else in the world.
Will you join me? Shall we bring in 2008 together? It is a fond hope.
Please say yes! While the world hurtles toward Nostradamus' End of the Universe, let's ring in one more year together.
See you in France on December 31!
Love, LadyK

Hmmm.... Okay, so far I don't have any other plans for then. (Had to make sure my "Runners weren't playing then. GO CSU Bakersfield!) If we're in France do I have to wear a beret and speak avec une accent francais? Je parle un peu.

Had a date for New Years but it fell through. Must be kismet as I had no thought of venturing into the blogs tonight either. In all the months I've been on FF I've never used a chat room. Sounds like fun and I can't imagine a more unique invitation. Will you save a dance for me? It could be my last one
Enjoy the ride. All you take with you when you leave is the experience.

No need to speak French...or even participate, if, as sometimes occurs, you don't like the direction of the discussion. The chat rooms can be fun, but since anybody can join, you also meet the occasional odious twit. (Fortunately, you can block them.)
Moi, je parle un petit peu aussi, mais I sometimes get tired of trying to think in Romance verb structures. Let's just see what happens. You just never know.....

Kismet it is, James. I'll definitely save a dance, though I certainly wouldn't expect it to be the last, unless you are planning on abandoning us forever?

Not to worry, my friend. I met European friends early, then retired. As it turned out, the stars were not in a good place.
I am cooking a new blog. I smell the possibility....very faint, at this point, but an unmistakable scent nonetheless....of more blogging. I look forward to seeing you in 2008.

As it turns out, the stars really sucked on New Year's Eve. It was not a good night to be out, and it was an equally bad night to be in. Hope your friend was well, and I hope that 2008 turns out better for all of us.
