As embarrassing as it is, at the time they did have food stamps for those who were jsut a litle down on their luck. I denied them first but they said I would be insane to do so. I qualified for them due to my disabiltiy and was attending college. But I needed to be atttnding college nd attemping to do something too better myself!
Now in Michigan, they call in a "Bridge Card". Its a debit card now for a certain amount of food purchase credits you qualify for.
