I trace her lips, with my fingertips,
A velvet gloss of wine.
Oh Maiden fair, these locks of hair,
A serenade to soon be mine.

The herald cheers, my falling tears,
A romance still to be read.
Words in staggered order, onto bleeding border,
Siren in my head.

Inspired, Intoxicated, Amused,
And now she has to choose.

Muse's Poetic Challenge #16

the boy fell at the border
as the tracer sang
a velvet serenade
and death read tales
to the maiden
pouring blood like wine
while heralds played
a long lament
too late, too late
the choices all
are made

To my fair Maiden

In the fall across the border,
Hark the Herald angel sing,
This gift to you I bring,
I choose to wine and dine,
My Maiden of love,
While I read to you,
a Poetic serenade,
Leaving a trace of my loving,
Soft touch caressing your,
Warm velvet soft skin,
With pleasure boiling from within,
Like all the flowers,
Blooming in spring.
You make my heart sing.

I traced the face
of a maidens grace
upon my velvet canvas

I serenade her
with words I chose
from poets that I've heard

I herald her
with words and wine
my sanity crosses the border

no poet am I
for reasons why
but it is the truth
that I am after.

once an oldhoglover, always an oldhoglover!

Her sequestered heart

Unkind years follow beauty and grace,

A maiden fair, falls stoic and proud.

Yearning once again, for love’s sweet serenade.

Forever searching for a glimpse, a trace.

For the touch she desires and deserves.

Elegantly attired in velvet and lace.

Awaiting the heralding of her dreams,

She dances alone in her own special place.

She withdraws, she escapes.

Her full story as yet neither written nor read,

Her life far from over, her youth all but spent.

With breast still as white as new fallen snow

Wine covered lips, glistening a shade of merlot.

Marching, ever edging closer toward the border of life,

Alone.

She keeps it all within her, sequestered away.

Awaiting her knight, to come set her free.

She must soon choose wisely among fools.

Or forever dwell in her sequestered heart.

Alone

Crownless Queen

Fair thee gracious maiden
thy legendry serenade
verse, chosen by thy herald
is my cup of wine
whence your velvet bed
traces my drunken head

When the moon takes her maiden voyage
across her chosen path
the mad ones serenade her
and toast her
with velvet wine.
They herald her appearance
as she rises in the sky
and trace her journey
to the borders of dawn

Wishing you happiness

Hi Muse,

This is my second try to your challenge.
I am just trying
to see if I have an artist in me.

FFinding you..Finding me. Finding LOVE

You transversely walked into open woods
Velvet eyes gazed on a poignant crawl
Silhouetted in translucent bordered clouds
Serenaded my lost wounded heart and soul.

Signor cry fall in midst of passion
Endless traces of sigh of inner devotion
Heartfelt emotion angst in absence
Set me in awe amazes this maiden.

Of great love heralded each day
Of love poems softly read away
Dianthus chosen offered with bunch of roses
In ocean of wine love simply oozes.

Trace her velvet border

Let her serenade you in

Late again. lol.

SERENADE.

Whilst perusing through the Daily HERALD,
My eyes FALL upon a map of England,
My finger TRACES the county BORDER,
Between MAIDEN-HEAD and READ-ING,
I CHOOSE to drink my VELVET WINE,
Using SERENADE as my heading.
